Where you buy your new pet is a very important decision. We welcome questions about our facility, our animals, our breeding practices, and our love for our animals.
I became a breeder because I truly love the animals in my care. They are our pets and receive loving care and attention. All of the babies born here do also and are tame and socialized before they are sent to their new homes.
We also provide a shelter for small animals in need of a new home. We try to correct any behavior problems and then we look for that special forever home for those animals.

Our animals are kept in an air conditioned building beside our house. The spacious building has optimum lighting on a timer to provide a natural daylight atmosphere. We play a radio during the day to keep our animals used to everyday family sounds.
Take a tour of our building here. All new animals that come in through our shelter program are quarantined until we are sure that they are healthy.

We are located on the edge of Walterboro, SC just 7 miles off of I-95 at exit 62. We are only 30 minutes from Summerville and about an hour from Charleston or Columbia.
We travel to Myrtle Beach often and can usually plan a weekend meeting there.
When we have animals available we will take visitors by appointment only on Sat. & Sun. |
You may remember us from when we were located at www.chinchillas.org and outside of Myrtle Beach, SC. There I had a herd of about 60 chinchillas, a small colony of gerbils, and 5 bunnies.
At the end of 2001 my husband was transferred to Charleston and had to make the move right away. We were unable to find a place in time to allow us to take our beloved animals with us. It was quite heart wrenching but I was forced to
find new homes for almost all of my animals. The lady who took over my herd also received my old website. We finally found a new home on 15 acres just outside of Walterboro, SC. So now I am starting over in a new city with a new site and will be slowly building up a new farm of wonderful animals.
I hope that those of you who supported us at our old location will visit us at our new location often. Please grab one our graphics and link to us.

The Chinchilla Club is the one thing I am most proud of. I came up with the idea for the club in 1999. I realized that there were no organizations that focused entirely on chinchillas as pets. After many long hours of planning and building The Chinchilla Club
is thriving with members in all 50 states and 9 countries. We are supported by many well known breeders and suppliers world-wide. Our on line magazine now comes out bi-monthly and we have started our new outreach programs to raise knowledge and interest in these wonderful animals both on the computer and off. You can learn more about The Chinchilla Club at ChinchillaClub.com
